Vintage Henri Sandoz & Fils 17 Jewels Mechanical Swiss Watch 1970s All Stainless Steel

Vintage Henri Sandoz & Fils 17 Jewels Swiss Mechanical Watch – c.1970s

A particularly attractive and beautifully preserved vintage Henri Sandoz & Fils mechanical wristwatch, dating from approximately the early to mid-1970s.

The watch features an elegant silver sunburst dial with applied baton hour markers, matching silver-tone hands and a sweep seconds hand. The traditional Henri Sandoz & Fils signature and crest are complemented by the period “17 Jewels – Shockprotected” wording.

The distinctive cushion-shaped case gives the watch a strong 1970s character while remaining understated and very wearable. At approximately 31.8mm excluding the crown, it has the classic proportions expected of a gentleman's watch from this period.

Inside is a Swiss 17-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement, signed Sandoz and Seventeen Jewels Swiss. The movement presents very cleanly, and detailed photographs of the actual movement are included.

The case back carries the Sandoz crest together with period markings including Standard, Antimagnetic, Shockprotected, All Stainless Steel, Waterproof and reference 1117Z-12.

The watch is presented on a black leather strap, which complements the silver dial and polished case particularly well.
